Originally from Dyersville, IA, Funke is a graduate from the University of Iowa and worked 33 years for the city of Coralville as a HR/Risk Manager. He owns and operates Michael Funke Resources and HR Counsulting business and is also the founder and general manager of Extra Base Hits baseball facility.
