Clinton Giants Game Suspended Due to Weather

CLINTON, Iowa – Tonight's ball game between the Clinton Giants and Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp at NelsonCorp Field has been suspended due to inclement weather.

The resumption of tonight's game is set for Friday, July 12, at 5 p.m. It will play as game one of a doubleheader scheduled against the Pistol Shrimp and resume in the top of the third inning with one out. Game two, originally set for that same day, will be a 7-inning ball game set at 7:30 p.m. The game will also count as a second-half game in the Prospect League.

The Clinton Giants honored the life and career of baseball and Giants legend Willie Mays before tonight's ballgame and held a moment of silence while donning the Clinton Giants jersey. (WATCH)
